One of our clients in the Springfield Area is looking for an EXPERIENCED maintenance technician.
This position will be the sole maintenance role for the entire facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure strict adherence to all relevant federal and local guidelines for safety and productivity including, OSHA, ADA and other required regulations Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery by following the manufacturer s recommended upkeep schedule throughout its life Troubleshoot common issues with equipment and assist operators with getting back to a productive mode Install mechanical equipment according to the manufacturer s recommendations in a timely manner for an optimal production timeline that avoids lengthy periods without loss of business Repair machines in order to limit machinery downtime during production schedule Evaluate workspace safety on the production floor to ensure all staff is following guidelines with equipment Complete a variety of tasks related to maintenance of machinery, including plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, structural concerns and more depending on the scope of the project Maintain a clean and organized work area while completing tasks related to maintenance, repair or installation Perform peer-to-peer inspections on work performed by other maintenance technicians Investigate and recommend outside contractors on larger maintenance related projects Advise Purchasing Manager during new equipment purchases Enforce compliance with safety guidelines and company standards Shall comply with the Quality and Environmental Management Systems and associated standards
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum: 3 years of experience working in equipment maintenance Possess strong understanding of mechanical systems and parts Strong knowledge of skilled trades, such as electrical, CNC equipment, carpentry, or welding Ability to work while exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving skills Preferred Skills:
Effective computer skills Certification in industry-accepted standard Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) 1st shift, 7am-3: 30pm, some overtime could be required on an as needed basis.
$20-25/hr temp to hire position
